Chemistry Program Overview
So many disciplines depend on chemistry that it’s known as the central science. That’s also why chemists with advanced degrees remain in high demand among pharmaceutical companies and other growing industries—from food safety and plastics to cosmetics and petroleum.
University of the Sciences can help you realize your career goals with master’s and doctoral degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. We’re also one of the few chemistry departments in the country to offer a graduate degree in pharmacognosy.
In our program, you’ll gain the advanced skills and level of knowledge that quickly translate into a rewarding career. In fact, all of our students have been employed either directly upon graduation or shortly thereafter.
You will intensely explore the theory and techniques of your specialization:
- Analytical chemistry
- Inorganic chemistry
- Organic chemistry
- Computational chemistry
- Physical chemistry
We offer an integrated BS/MS or BS/PhD degree program where you can obtain a graduate degree in less time than a traditional degree program.
All of our students will benefit from a flexible schedule, hands-on research opportunities, individual faculty attention, and close relationships with scientists from other departments and disciplines.
