Synopsis

Dr. Adams is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration. She has a clinical practice site in the Infectious Diseases Clinic at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Dr. Adams earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, NY. She then went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Following her pharmacy practice residency, she completed a HIV Pharmacology Academic Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.

Dr. Adams teaches in Laboratory and Case Studies, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, and the Infectious Disease Course. She also serves as a HIV and Infectious Diseases preceptor for APPE students as well as the PGY-1 pharmacy practice resident at her practice site. She is a member of ACCP, ASHP, and SIDP.

Research Interests

  • Pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of antiretrovirals in special populations
  • Antiretroviral pharmacotherapy in the aging HIV infected population
  • Antiretrovirals in pregnancy
